cream crown cream Miss Gloucester 2009!

Being the event organizer and main sponsor for cream Miss Gloucester 2009 has put the cream salon, situated in St. Aldate Street, Gloucester in a media whirl.

With the finals held on May 28th at Gloucester’s premier venue Gloucester Quay’s - attracting record crowds – not only is 22 year old winner Liz Orr’s from Robinswood name on everybody’s lips - but the current British Hairdressing Awards Wales & South West Hairdresser of the Year – Scott Smurthwaite is!

Liz will now go on to represent the county of Gloucester in the Miss England semi-finals competition on Monday 8th June, and will appear at events in the City of Gloucester throughout her reign as cream Miss Gloucester.

The evening got off to a great start with a dance display by the Cody Crew, before Chris Kayne from Heart FM interviewed all the finalists who were modeling day-wear outfits. With a backdrop of a record audience enjoying drinks, canapés and even more moves from the Cody Crew – the finalists then modeled some stunning evening wear designs.

Judges including Scott Smurthwaite of cream, The Mayor of Gloucester Chris Witts, James Cowdale from Third Floor Design, Lynne Craige from Gloucester College and Alison Tennant from Gloucester Quays then had the difficult choice of selecting who would be crowned cream Miss Gloucester.

Liz Orr who is studying to become an accountant, was chosen for her natural beauty - “the minute Liz came onto the catwalk she shined” commented judge James Cowdale.
